In order to maintain the highest standards of service and integrity, it is essential that all interactions between clients and staff are conducted in a manner that is courteous and free from inappropriate or unacceptable behaviour.

Unacceptable Behaviour

We will not tolerate any form of offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate behaviour directed towards our staff. This includes, but is not limited to:

•Bullying or harassment
•Discriminatory remarks or conduct based on race, gender, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic
•Repeated inappropriate comments or conduct
•Any behaviour that could reasonably be considered to create a hostile or intimidating environment

Our Commitment

•We will take all reasonable steps to protect our staff from any form of bullying, harassment, or unfair discrimination by clients.
•Any behaviour from clients that could amount to bullying, harassment, or unfair discrimination will be challenged by our management team.
•If a client makes repeated inappropriate or discriminatory comments to a staff member, the manager will make it clear to the client that such behaviour is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

Consequences of Unacceptable Behaviour

Should inappropriate or unacceptable behaviour persist after a warning has been issued, Hart Jackson & Sons reserves the right to review the ongoing client relationship. This may include considering whether the firm can continue to act for the client in question.

We value our clients and are committed to providing high-quality legal services. Equally, we are committed to ensuring the wellbeing and dignity of our staff. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in upholding these standards.

If you have any questions regarding this statement or wish to discuss any concerns, please contact the firm’s compliance manager (Caroline Tennyson).

We offer free half-hour consultations to establish the most appropriate and cost-effective way in which we can assist.
